Hi,
What is the right (ideal length) for a 20m antenna, dipole? Is
vertical better than horizontal? What are the differences?

I just got an Isoloop and there's a good-news/bad-news story.
The good news is that, because I live in the dungeon floor of a three-
story apartment building, I had to stand the thing on a 10' pole
outside my window. It works pretty well, and I made several contacts
last night on several bands. It takes a little getting used to the
tuning, but considering the magic that's taking place up there, it's
acceptable.
The bad news is that I had to go to work today instead of staying home
and playing with my new antenna.

I am looking for a j-pole design using only coax. I am sure I saw such a
design in a recent magazine, but I can't find it now. I'm looking for
something that can be rolled up and easily stored for travel.

Dick,
Thanks for the response. The design you mentioned was sent to me, and I'm
going to give it a try. You can save yourself some trouble.
